The Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club will be holding its 2nd Annual “Run in the Mist” 5K Run/Walk will take place on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 at Goat Island in Niagara Falls, NY. Run or walk around the majestic Niagara Falls on Goat Island. This family friendly event is open to all ages and abilities!
The race begins at 7:15pm in front of the Top of the Falls Restaurant on Goat Island. Parking is free for all race participants! Day of race registration will begin at 5:30 pm.
Awards for top overall male and female and top three in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 & 70 and over. Post race tent party free to all race participants includes food, drinks, music and prizes. Tent guests are $5 if they were not race participants. Free parking for event participants in Lot 2-3. Event will be held rain or shine.
The Run in the Mist is a 5K run/walk which has been sanctioned and certified through USA Track and Field. The Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club serves over 2,200 inner-city youth from ages 4-18. Providing a “Positive Place for Kids” is not just the Club\’s motto, but it strives every day to help our youth become responsible citizens in the community.
Pre-registration is $20 before June 15th, participation on the day of the race is $25, and for students 18 and under the cost is $15. Entries and checks can be mailed to: Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club 725-17th St. Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
