Niagara Falls Entertainment Update | Rapids Music Theatre

Back in April 2008 I first reported about the the Rapids Theatre renovations.   Hard to believe that this week we will be seeing it unveiled to the public!

Niagara Falls will soon have its own venue for national acts, concerts, and festivals thanks to John Hutchins of Hutch Enterprises. The former Bellevue and Dome Theatre is being completely renovated into the Rapids Music Theatre, Niagara Falls USA.

Over $1 million dollars will be poured into the building to restore its historical look, while bringing the inside up to date. John J. Chmiel who manages The Water Street Music Hall in downtown Rochester will also manage the renovated Rapids Music Theatre. With occupancy upwards of 1800 people, the Rapids Music Theatre will provide Main Street and the City a worldclass venue for all types of entertainment. Rapids Music Theatre provides immediate spinoff for the courthouse project, with a multi-million dollar restoration initiative that provides Main Street and our city a jewel for entertainment.
