Get Out of Buyer’s Way!
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Seller:
Selling your home is a stressful time and I know that it is a real inconvenience to leave your home when there is a showing of your home.
I also understand that you want every buyer to fall in love with your home like you are. I know that sharing details of your home and talking with the potential buyers makes you feel like you are doing something.

But I am going to tell you not to do it! Get out of the house, take the kids and dog with you and make sure that:
- Beds are made
- Counters clear of clutter, dishes away
- Have all the curtains open, and every light on
- Have music playing in the background

Why you ask.
It is an uncomfortable situation going through someone else home. If the owner is there, buyers feel rushed to get out because they are on edge. The last thing you want is a buyer feeling uncomfortable while they are looking.
First impressions are everything. Many buyers don’t want to say a single thing while the seller is there. They don’t want to either tip their hand that they absolutely love your home or they are terrified that they will insult you.
There are so many times that I have had a home seller turn off a buyer to a home that is perfect for them. The thought of dealing with that person through closing detours them from going forward.
