Colleen Kulikowski in the News…

Yesterday there was a great article about Niagara Homecoming in the Buffalo News Niagara Section, featuring Colleen Kulikowski. While Colleen is focusing on this event over the next four days, you can call her team at RealtyUSA for assistance:

Mary Buchner (716) 481-8922

Rick Glogowski (716) 984-8208

Mary Fishburne (716) 867-8767

Wendy Syed (716) 866-2762

Colleen Kulikowski, a real estate agent who helped connect Niagara Rises to Buffalo Homecoming, said the group tried to make sure its events would “dovetail” rather than compete with a weekend lineup of activities planned in Buffalo.

Kulikowski, a Niagara County native, was among the region’s expatriates before she moved back to Western New York after living outside New York City and then in Florida for 21 years.

Since she returned, Kulikowski has been an active booster for both Niagara Falls and Buffalo Homecoming. When she and Croisdale approached Niagara Rises members last fall with the idea of bringing the homecoming to Niagara Falls, she said, it “absolutely energized” the group.

The idea came on the heels of a “Good Morning America” segment on Niagara Falls in which the national morning television show contrasted the boarded up buildings on Main Street with the bustle of Niagara Falls, Ont.

City of Buffalo to participate in Crime Reports

The City of Buffalo and Niagara County Sheriff are participating in the website Crime Reports. The only crime that they are not reporting to the site is drug related crimes. So often I have buyers who want to know about the crimes in the area. Unfortunately I cannot tell you directly, but with this site, it will give you a great resource!

Sorry, at this time only the City of Buffalo is participating in Crime Reports. Perhaps the rest of the Western New York community police departments will take part in the future.

Canal Fest of the Tonawandas

Canal Fest provides 8 days of entertainment for local citizens and visitors from throughout Western New York and farther. Attendance is estimated anywhere from 200,000 - 250,000 for the 8 day run. The reason we can only estimate, is that there is no turnstile charge to just walk into the Fest, to see the attractions, to watch the events, to meet old friends. That in itself attracts people to Canal Fest. We are the largest event held anywhere along the New York State canal system and considered in the top percentile of events in the State.
