The most important thing is the presentation of your WNY home for sale to potential Home Buyers. One way to over come Buyers potential objections is to stage your home and have it in perfect condition for each showing. Many home owners turn to professionals to Stage Their Homes. If your Buffalo home is for sale here are a few things you can do without hiring a professional stager to prepare your home for sale:
Less is more!
Clutter — we all have it, too much stuff and not enough storage for all of it. We don’t want potential buyers to see that storage is a problem, so best start packing. You are moving right? Then pack everything that is absolutely unnecessary and rent a storage facility and put it there. Take extra furniture out of rooms, and decorative items.
Personal Items — these are the things that distract rather than help. If there is a wall of family photos, the potential Buyer will be distracted by your family, and not see the potential for that wall to house their photos. Religious objects are a sticking point. Why create a negative if you do not have to. Take down the family art gallery on the fridge door. Make sure that the counters are always clear and clean.
Neat Counts!
We all hate to keep house, but this is not a time to get lazy. Make it a standard practice to ensure that there are no dust bunnies, cob webs, dirty towels or laundry lying around. Mirrors should sparkle, tables dusted and clear of clutter. Beds should be made and the yard should always look neat.
When was the last time you looked at your windows? Are they clean? Are your window treatments clean? How about those walls? Should you paint a room to freshen it up? New paint is the least amount of investment with the largest return.
