Description: “The Buffalo Chamber Players (featuring members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra) and the avant-garde performance group Buffalo Soundpainting Ensemble are combining to present a fully-staged production of Stravinsky’s “A Soldier’s Tale,” based on original 1951 BPO costume and set designs by important WNY painter, Martha Visser’t Hooft. An exhibit of Visser’t Hooft’s paintings will precede the concert. The show takes place May 27th at Buffalo Seminary. The Buffalo Chamber Players are a group that endeavors to challenge and redefine the public’s perception of chamber music, and to promote the city of Buffalo as an inspiring place to live, work, and play.”
