Staging Your Home – It isn’t always all about what you see…

We have talked about Staging Tips for Your Home awhile back, this is information that any home owner anywhere in the country can find useful. But Home Staging your Buffalo home is partially visual, but there is something very simple that you can do to add to the comfort of potential buyers. It is January here in Western New York and we have experienced some very cold days. Showing properties with potential Buyers you see a lot of cold houses. I have some very important advice for you if you are selling your Buffalo home.
Turn up the Heat!
Sounds simple, right? A warm Buffalo home adds to the feeling of comfort. Let’s face it, we live in Western New York and the cold weather is a fact of life. Buyers are in and out of the cold during their Buffalo Home search and if they enter a cold house they have a negative thought.
It brings up a series of questions that do not reflect positively for your home for sale:
- Are the heating bills that high?
- Is there a problem with drafts?
- Do I want to live in this cold house?
- What is the condition of the heating system?
Buyers are looking for a Buffalo home that they feel good about and feel good in. Whether you have a property that is vacant or occupied, make sure it is at least warm enough that buyers are comfortable enough to stick around and actually look through your home long enough to get excited. It seems obvious enough, but some Buffalo homes are so cold this time of year that buyers would rather run back to the car than see the bedrooms with over sized closets or the fantastic master bathroom.
Buyers that are willing to go see your Buffalo home even when it is cold outside are serious buyers. You have gone to the trouble of getting your Buffalo home market ready, have it and are getting showings, so be sure to have the home warm enough to keep the buyers in long enough to fall in love with your house.
