Earlier this year Extreme Makeover Home Edition Buffalo NY aired on ABC TV. There was a huge amount of activity in November 2009, there was a massive amount of people that gave of their time. Now that the cameras are gone, has much changed in this community? There has been a lot of news in that area of Buffalo, some of it systemic of the great poverty. Yet there is hope with PUSHBUFFALO and volunteers there when the cameras are not.

Buffalo is really the City of Good Neighbors…
Let’s look at the Real Estate in that general area on the West Side of Buffalo. In November I reported the market conditions as follows:
- Currently there are 3 homes for sale on Massachusetts Avenue, one single and two doubles with an average list price of $33,433 ranging from a low of $22,500 to a high of $39,900.
- There is currently 1 pending sale, which was listed for $6,900.
- According to the MLS this year there has been two closed sales with an average closed price of $12,875 ranging from $4,500 (8 days on the market) to $21,250 (373 days on the market).
That was the street alone, I am am going to look at an area that stretches from Niagara Street to Hampshire Street to W. Ferry to Richmond to Rhode Island.
