As a homeowner you may not be thinking of selling your home at this time. But you might in the future. And at that time it might not be so pretty or it could even be more spectacular than it is now.

Try and take photographs of the exterior of your home in the variety of seasons so when the time does come you have a great photograph for your Realtor to use. For instance in the dead of winter, potential buyers cannot enjoy the lush garden you have… A photograph of that garden in summer bloom, may catch a buyer’s attention.

Which brings up another subject, is your house this upcoming weekend? If so, why does the MLS photos of your home have 2 feet of snow in the yard? I am going through the MLS and there are dozens of homes with snow covered yards… Come to think of it there are a few with fall leaves… What kind of impression does that make on a potential buyer?

Cruising the MLS for a home for a buyer in the $250,000 range in Williamsville today and several of the photographs were of the home with snow in front of it. How difficult is it to go out and take another photo when the season changes!
