Most consumers start with this handy Internet tool called Google. You may have heard of it before. In fact, within the last twenty years it has become a new word in our vocabulary and went from being used as a noun to a verb rather quickly. Think about how often you use it for other things. It is natural that home buyers would use it to start their home search. In fact there was a recent study by the National Association of Realtors that 65% of home buyers saw the home they purchase first on the Internet. Do I have your attention yet?

Why is that important to you the home seller?
Well if that is where buyers are starting their search don’t you want to be there with your home for sale? In January 2011 we had 237 buyers contact us either through this site, our home search website, via phone or email about purchasing homes. Most likely you are searching to find a Realtor to represent you in the sale of your home and have found this article. Sure lots of Realtors will tell you about their company’s website, and that they will put you on Trulia, Zillow and Realtor.com and dozens more.

What you the consumer have to figure out is the facts from the fiction.
