Buffalo NY is the largest collection of festivities anywhere to celebrate Dyngus Day. Tradition is the Monday after Easter Sunday. Dyngus Day celebrates the end of the often restrictive observance of lent and the joy of Easter. This is a Polish experience not matched anywhere else in the United States. Spring has sprung in Western New York.

Spring is Officially Here! The Transit Drive in is now open!
Ok, if you were not convinced that Spring is here this morning when the announced that it is officially here, perhaps the opening of the Transit Drive-in will convince you that Spring is here! Spring is here! The Transit Drive-in is now open! The ticket office opens at 7 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. And due to the difficult economic times, they have are temporarily reducing their ticket prices for the months of March and April.

There is a rich Irish culture here in the Greater Buffalo NY. St. Patrick's Day is an important celebration in Western New York but it is not the only time that Buffalonians celebrate that Irish heritage. On St. Patrick's Day everyone is Irish. Much like everyone is Polish on Dyngus Day and Italian on St. Joseph's Day.
