Too good to be true?

You know when someone makes a broad promise like this you have to wonder what the catch is. There are agents out there that will put this promise on their listings. There is always an asterisk (*) next to that promise. Follow the asterisk and you will find a lot of small print and conditions that will have to be meet for them to really purchase your home. And you may not like the number that they will pay for your home.

“Buy this home and we’ll buy yours!” That statement is to make the current home seller feel like they have something that will draw buyers into their home. To justify working with a particular agent, that they will have a shortcut to getting a home sold. As a REALTOR it is a brilliant program. It gets you lots of listings. Listings that may or may not sell. But when you carry lots of listings it becomes a numbers game. Do you really want to be a number?

Shortcuts will cost you money in the end

Do I need to say any more? There is no magic bullet in getting your home sold. Gimmicks will not get your home sold. Pricing it according to condition and what is happening in the market will.
