I read the newspaper more frequently now that I am back in Western New York. I look forward to my weekly edition of the Amhest Bee and the Police Blotter. According the the Editor’s Note it is a sampling of unusual, sometimes humorous calls received by the police department.
This week’s seemed to be rough on the local wildlife….
- A Fairlawn Drive resident reported eight little ducklings in her pool and she said she couldn’t get them out.
- A Harrogate Square resident complained that a bunny couldn’t get out of a gully.
- An injured rate was reported in a Deer Run Court driveway.
But the funniest of the stories this week was and the winner of Buffalo Darwin Award has to go to:
A Niagara Falls Boulevard store employee reported that a man filled out a credit application and was denied. The man then took a power tool. His information was on the application and he was also on videotape.
