The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has announced its upcoming Summerfest Program at Artpark, running from July 12 and concluding on August 3. Summerfest is 10 colorful and wildly different concerts. The concerts scheduled are:
- July 12 – By George By Gershwin!
- July 13 – The All American-John Philip Sousa
- July 19 – From Mozart to Bernstein
- July 20 – Native American Celebration
- July 25 – Rachmaninoff ‘s Piano Concerto No. 3
- July 26 – Tchaikovsky Spectacular
- July 27 – Cirque comes to Artpark
- August 1 – The Tango Returns!
- August 2 – An Evening with Neglia Ballet
- August 3 – A Salute to John Williams
This season, a bit more pops-oriented than last year’s, boasts a few novelties. Summerfest generally features one very young musician, and on July 19, 14-year-old Caroline Goulding is playing Mozart’s Fourth Violin Concerto. Tickets are on sale now.
