• Do you qualify for a mortgage?
• How is your credit?

• Will you have a reserve fund in case of emergency? What if you lose your job? The roof starts leaking? The septic tank needs pumping?

Just because you can afford the purchase it does not necessarily mean that you should purchase a home or move up at this time. Or decide that it is ok not to purchase. So many home owners have gotten into trouble because they have not planned for the worst case. Once you own a home there are things to consider when owning a home. If you never have owned a home, this includes items like:

• Utility bills
• Regular maintenance to the home including, plumbing, roofing
