The Allentown Art Festival takes place in the Allentown Historic Preservation District of Buffalo, New York. Tens of Thousands art patrons visit the Festival to enjoy the beauty of Buffalo’s weather in June, the charm and uniqueness of the Allentown area and the quality of the art and crafts presented by the over 400 juried exhibitors.
Buffalo Public School Students, a Part of the Festival
The Buffalo Public Schools Art Education Department is pleased to announce the sponsorship of FIVE awards totaling $5,000.00 through the Allentown Village Society, Inc. (AVS).
Awards will be granted to schools whose art teachers have developed and submitted exemplary and unique art lessons.
Five Buffalo School art teachers will be awarded $1,000.00 each which should be used for art materials that specifically help in the successful implementation of each teacher’s proposed art lesson.
All submitted proposals were reviewed by art education evaluators using a scoring rubric. Five Allentown Village Society Grant awards of $1,000.00 have been distributed by to the following teachers:

“X Marks the Spot: Exploring the Art in ARTifact”
